Balarama Purnima (28 August, 2026 )
The auspicious appearance day of Lord Balarama, the elder brother of Lord Sri Krishna, is celebrated on the full-moon day of Shravana (August). Lord Balarama incarnated as the son of Rohini and Vasudeva and is also revered as Baladeva and Sankarshana. He imparts the spiritual strength required to overcome the challenges encountered on the path of self-realization. Devotees observe a fast until noon and offer prayers to Lord Balarama, seeking His divine strength to aid in their spiritual practices.
