The auspicious appearance day of Lord Balarama, the elder brother of Lord Sri Krishna, is celebrated on the full-moon day of Shravana (August). Lord Balarama incarnated as the son of Rohini and Vasudeva and is also revered as Baladeva and Sankarshana.
