Daily Meal Distribution: The program operates in numerous hospitals, including the Government Mental Hospital in Erragadda, where it serves meals to approximately 120 attendants every day.
Nutritional Focus: Each meal typically includes rice, sambar, sabji (vegetable curry), pickle, and buttermilk, with a sweet dish provided once a week, ensuring a balanced and satisfying diet.
Program Expansion: Over time, Bhojanamrita has expanded its reach, serving meals in multiple hospitals across Telangana. By 2021, the program was serving meals in over 15 Bhojanamrita centres, providing approximately 3,000 meals daily.
Collaborative Efforts: The success and expansion of Bhojanamrita have been bolstered by partnerships with organisations such as Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), which collaborated with HKM to extend the program to additional hospitals, including Niloufer Hospital.
Through the Bhojanamrita initiative, the Hare Krishna Movement exemplifies its commitment to serving humanity by addressing the basic need for nutritious food among the underprivileged, thereby alleviating hunger and providing comfort to those in challenging circumstances.
